Mandatory Skills:

  • Strategic business acumen and understanding of organisation strategy and ability To design information systems to delivery that strategy
  • Experiencing in assessing a broad range of information solutions and products particularly document management, collaboration and content management.
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts to lay audiences. Some experience of with working with board level stakeholders.
  • Self-starter with the ability to appropriately prioritize and plan complex work in a rapidly changing environment
  • Results oriented with ability to produce products that deliver organizational benefit
  • Strong critical thinker with problem solving aptitude.
  • Team player with experience leading and collaborating cross-team to ensure successful delivery of solutions
  • Strong conceptual and analytical skills - demonstrating outside-the-box problem solving skills
  • Ability to develop solution architecture designs
  • Experience of developing Services Orientated Architectures (SOA)
  • Knowledge of Enterprise Architecture methodologies such as TOGAF or the equivalent
  • Working knowledge of infrastructure including servers, storage, firewalls, load Balancers, routers, etc.
  • A minimum of four years in a professional senior technical role such as technical Lead, team lead, architect, or other hands on leadership role ideally for a major Consultancy or system integrator.
  • Ideally formal qualification in Enterprise Architecture (e.g. TOGAF) or formal Qualifications in technology.
  • Must have development experience in either Java or .NET
  • Must have experience with using, tuning, and deploying solutions on a commercial database such as Oracle, SQL Server.
  • Must know how to develop and deploy structured configuration management processes using version control software such as TFS, Subversion, Git, etc. as well as issue tracking systems such as TFS, Bugzilla, ClearCase, etc.
  • Must have experience working with and developing design and requirements documents and artifacts such as Entity Relation Diagrams, UML diagrams, User Stories, Use Cases
  • Must have excellent technical problem solving skills, including identifying and addressing performance problems, system defects, hardware issues, etc.
  • Must have strong working knowledge of SLDC processes and how to operate under structured project management, including the need for various environments, system maintenance, risk avoidance, etc.
  • Must be able to work independently and provide proactive leadership in a complex environment with multiple teams
  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills, including conducting presentations to teams and to customers.
  • Must be able to break down complex technical topics into common language understandable by non-technical/business oriented audiences.

Job Description:

  •  Partner with the organisation to understand organisation and departmental strategy and agree information systems solutions to meet needs.
  • Maintain an awareness of business solutions particularly in the area of collaboration, document management and CRM that might support Business Mission.
  • Investigate information systems that might benefit the organisation.
  • Lead in designing, specifying and selecting information system solutions, considering functionality, data, security, integration, infrastructure and performance.
  • Develop and maintain a model of Company’s current and future Application Architecture.
  • Develop and maintain a model of Company’s current and future web architecture and design a structure that is stable, resilient and performant.
  • Lead the organisation in exploiting technology and use knowledge of IT solutions to drive organizational change and support business process design.
  • Understand and support to software architecture design and support development team in developing solutions
  • Estimate cost, and prepare business cases for IT solutions, considering infrastructure, licenses, development and support
  • Work with the Project Managers and Business Analysts to develop high level project schedule resource plans for implementation projects.
  • Supervise Business Analyst in the capture and analysis of requirements
  • Suite of excellent information systems that meet or exceed stakeholder expectations for functionality, availability and performance.
  • Delivery of the IT strategy.
  • Implementation Project Team members are supported and receive clear directions on function and design of information systems.
  • Project experience and learning is shared effectively to improve organizational Memory.
